Heat-accumulating recoverable material TAMMI

Developments: composite heat-accumulating recoverable material HARM (TAMMI, for its Russian initials) is developed, methods of producing, based on the material of heat-accumulating parts and structures. HARM functions as heat-shielding during period of accumulation of delivered heat on exposure of high temperatures to the object.

TAMMI can be manufactured as:

  • powder for filling into structural component,
  • plates of different thickness and shape,
  • caulking compound with postbaking.

Specifications:

  • Possibility of heat-absorbing – not less 200 J/g.
  • Ultimate stretching strength, σ – not less 1,0 MP (the parameter is being defined more exactly, at present, exact defining of statistic data is being performed).
  • Ultimate elongation – not less 10% (the parameter is being defined more exactly, at present, exact defining of statistic data is being performed).
  • Ultimate compression strength – 10-12 MPa.
  • Ultimate flexural strength from, σ – 5…10 MPa.
  • Dielectric conductivity at 106 Hz – 1,3…1,4.
  • Density – 1,1 … 1,5 g/cm³.
  • Specific heat capacity, at 85°Ń – not less 10 J/(g×K).
  • Water absorption for 24 h – 0, 005%.

Composite heat-accumulated compound can be effectively used to provide operating modes of electronic elements, devices, structure elements and actuators at internal and external exposure of breaking high temperatures in the range (+60…+200)° C (on customer’s requirements).

The process of heat absorbing is without external power sources.

Recoverable material TAMMI is rational to be used at high temperature exposures to electronic elements, devices, structure elements and actuators instead of air, water or kerosene cooling.
